Teulings Tennis coach Ravai Phakati, says there is great potential in the tennis players who are currently taking part in the Teulings Tennis League being staged at the Olympic Youth Development Centre.
Phakati, says the talent being exhibited by the boys and girls should make them be considered to join the senior teams in the country for competitive games.
He disclosed that currently the players are utilising the Teulings Tennis league adding that more games by the Zambia Tennis Association should be organised if the sport was to improve in the country.
Meanwhile, a tennis player Stella Njobvu, who competes in the Teulings League at the OYDC says it is gratifying that the Teulings Sponsorship is reaching out to many athletes in different sports disciplines at the OYDC.
Njobvu, says it is through the Teulings league games that she managed to compete with other tennis players who she feels have more skills in tennis.
The Teulings project has helped positively change people’s lives and hugely contributed to the formation of youth leagues that have given a lot of youth the opportunity to participate in organised and competitive sport.
The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge has four sports disciplines; Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Tennis and Hockey.
