The Ministry of Health recently announced that the national health week is “A period dedicated to creating awareness on various health issues in the country and setting the agenda for a multi-sectorial response to achieving “A Nation of Healthy and Productive People”.
A number of health activities have been lined up which include dental checks, aerobics, physical fitness, shuttle running and many more.
His excellence president of the republic of Zambia Edgar Lungu, will grace the opening ceremony and is expected to take part in the lined up health activities.
Members of the public are all invited to visit the OYDC and participate in the health week Programme.
The Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) will from 20 TO 24 April, 2017 host the (2017 TO 2020).
A total of 61 participants from Africa representing different National Olympic Committees will be part of the conference.

The regional Games will attract countries like Botswana and South Africa and Zambia the host.
Lined up activities include: Netball, Aerobics, Football, Basketball, and Athletics.
The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) will on Saturday 25th March, 2017 hold an intra-sports day at the Olympic Youth Development Centre.
This is in preparation of the main regional revenue authority event scheduled for the OYDC from 14th to 15th April, 2017.
The tournament will start from 08; 00 to 17; 00.

Special Olympics Zambia and UNICEF Zambia will this Saturday 3rd December, 2016 hold a “Unified Sports day” whose theme is “Inclusive Sports, Inclusive Communities, Empowerment for All” to be held at the Olympic Youth Development Centre.
Children with intellectual disabilities will be competing in different sports activities to start at 09:00 hours to 13:00 hours.
First lady Esther Lungu, will be the guest of honor. UNICEF Country Representative Dr. Hamid El- Bashir Ibrahim will also be present
The Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) will from the 28 to 29 October, 2016 host the 2016 Independence handball open championship to start at 08:00 hours Central African time.
Seven teams from Zimbabwe and two teams from South Africa will be part of the tourney.
The tournament will act as an act openning tournament for the super 8 league for 2016/17.
Lusaka Tigers, K-stars, Kamwala stars and Chawama, Northemed, and Kasisi are the teams that will represent Zambia.
