The African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Chief Executive Officer Stanley Mutoya has disclosed that the Council plans to make the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre a satellite for the Podium Performance Programme. Zambia hockey teams whose home ground is the OYDC Zambia Thursday morning left for Harare Zimbabwe for an international friendly competition. The competition will run from 11 to 13 August 2023 and both nations will use the friendly games to prepare for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers games to be hosted by South Africa later in the year.
