ZASU to host CANA Championship at OYDC

Zambia Swimming Union (ZASU) is set to host the CANA Zone IV Championship slated for 14 to 18 April 2022 to be staged at OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre . ZASU on 7 April, 2022 released a list of 35 swimmers which will represent Zambia at the prestigious event. Young athletes screened

OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre on Saturday 2 April 2022 conducted health screening on athletes who came to participate in the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge. The athletes were being screened for nose, throat and ear with those with urgent medical attention being referred to nearby health facilities. OYDC Rugby coach Muwele boasts contributing players to national teams

OYDC Rugby coach Clement Muwele is pleased that several young athletes who started from the multisports facility are now playing for the national teams and different local clubs. OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre on Tuesday 29 March 2022 launched the Sport for Early Environment Education (Sport + Triple E) supported by WWF Zambia and aimed at raising awareness of environmental education using sport among adolescents. OYDC to host ‘Three Nations’ boxing Championship

OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre will host a three nations boxing Championship from 26 to 27 March 2022. The Championship will see athletes from Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia the host participating. Charges to watch the Championship has been pegged at K20 and is organised by Zambia Boxing Federation in conjunction with Zambia National Service. Two OYDC nurtured beach volleyball players to travel to Ghana

Two beach volleyball players Grace Manyere and Brenda Mulenga are set to travel to Ghana for the Commonwealth Beach Volleyball qualifiers. The duo started their beach volleyball career at OYDC and have been taking part in all OYDC/Teulings Youth Sports Challenge league games. OYDC Zambia sports season enters week two OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre sporting season for the year 2022 entered the second week on 19 March after the season was launched few weeks ago.
