Youths commemorate day of an African child
Hundreds of youths who thronged the OYDC today were jubilant as they commemorated the National Day of the African Child.
The theme for the commemoration was ” Leave No Child Behind for Zambia’s Development”.
The celebrations were characterised with sport, music, culture, poetry, modeling and fun & movement games.
The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development Joe Kapembwa, who represented the minister Moses Mawere, graced the event and expressed happiness at the number of youths who came to participate in the activities.
The event was attended by directors in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development and UNICEF representatives.
