FIVE OYDC JUDOKAS WIN MEDALS

Five female judokas at the weekend won medals during the 2024 National Judo Women’s Cup organized by the Judo Association of Zambia. The judokas Barbara Seulu, Mirriam Seulu, Naomi Seulu, and Naomi Sinazeze won gold, silver and bronze respectively. Two Gold, Two Silver and One Bronze medals were minted for the OYDC Judo Club. The club emerged with eight points.

OYDC ZAMBIA ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS

OYDC Zambia on Friday 20 September 2024 invited several stakeholders for a meeting to update them on the progress the centre continues to make where sport development is concerned. OYDC HANDBALL PLAYER HEADS TO PORTUGAL OYDC Handball Club player Pritchard Siyakwayi has signed a six-month contract with Clube Desportivo “Os Marienses in Portugal. Siyakwayi is expected to leave Zambia for Portugal on Friday at 15:00 CAT. Zambian athlete Muzala Samukonga who recently minted a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the 400m final race has promised to mint more medals for Zambia. THREE OYDC BOXERS IMPRESS SPECTATORS

The past weekend was amazing at the OYDC Zambia as several boxers turned up to compete in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. Several bouts were played and the most fascinating moment was when three of the OYDC boxers flogged their opponents to record a win. Out of the seven young boxers the OYDC Zambia had three impressed spectators when their stunning punches on opponents. SIX YOUNG JUDOKAS HEAD TO KITWE FOR A TOURNEY

Six Judokas from the Ippon OYDC Club left for Kitwe to participate in Musa’s Biscuit Tournament. The tournament organised by the Zambia Judo Association will be held at Kanfinsa Police Training Camp today from 09;00 to 16;00. Ippon OYDC Club has sent Yolanda Banda, Barbara Seulu, Miriam Seulu, Joshua Mwanza, Justin Kangwa, Levinson Mwanza and Aron Banda who doubles as the coach.
