The 2025 Zambia Badminton International is currently underway at the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre in Lusaka, having kicked off yesterday. The tournament will run through to 16th November, bringing together elite athletes from 18 countries for a showcase of world-class badminton. The international tournament is hosted by Badminton Zambia, with OYDC Zambia as the venue to provide a high-standard environment suitable for an event of this magnitude. Bluwood Handball Club Hosts Zimbabwe’s Spartans for International Friendly Matches

Lusaka, Zambia Bluwood Handball Club played host to Zimbabwe’s Spartans Handball Club over the weekend in a series of friendly matches aimed at fostering the growth of handball beyond Zambia’s borders. The games, held at the OYDC Zambia Sports Development Centre, featured participation from Lusaka Tigers Women (OYDC Handball Club), Bluwood Men and Women’s teams, and Spartans from Zimbabwe. ATHLETES FROM OYDC CLUBS WIN FOUR MEDALS AT THE NATIONAL YOUTH GAMES

Young talented athletes from the OYDC Zambia clubs won four medals at the National Youth Games Zambia 2024 which were staged in Ndola, Copperbelt from 4 to 6 December 2024. The OYDC Zambia will host this year’s Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale on 23 November 2024 where deserving players will be rewarded. FIVE OYDC JUDOKAS WIN MEDALS

Five female judokas at the weekend won medals during the 2024 National Judo Women’s Cup organized by the Judo Association of Zambia. The judokas Barbara Seulu, Mirriam Seulu, Naomi Seulu, and Naomi Sinazeze won gold, silver and bronze respectively. Two Gold, Two Silver and One Bronze medals were minted for the OYDC Judo Club. The club emerged with eight points.
