FOUR countries are set to have their Judokas take part in the upcoming training camp and competition to be held at OYDC Zambia. The countries Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia the hosts will have athletes getting into camp between 27 to 30 June 2022. Zambia Hockey Association General Secretary Elvis Bwalya has urged coaches tasked to select players for national teams ahead of the Central Southern ‘All Africa’ Games to consider utilizing athletes who play in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. Garden Youth Academy dominates Teulings football league

Garden Youth Academy for both girls and boys football team has dominated the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge following games played at the weekend. The girls team currently have 6 points while the boys team have 12 points. The second teams dominating in the boys category are OYDC and Olympiafrica with 9points each while in the girls Chipata Overspill has 3points. Olympiafrica emerge, overall winners of the inaugural Teqball national tournament

Olympiafrica Teqball Club emerged overall winners of the 2022 Teqball tournament after winning three categories from five. The team won the mixed doubles, girls’ singles and girls’ doubles to emerge victorious. OYDC teqball club came out second after winning two categories in boys’ singles and boys’ doubles. Nine clubs comprising of Zambezi, FOGS Community Foundation, Monze, Kabwe, Mansa, Samfya, Alfred Foloko Foundation, Olympiafriica and OYDC the host took part in the two days national tournament. National TeQball tournament launched

TeQball Federation of Zambia has successfully launched the first-ever national Championship which has seen six provinces participating. Federation president Dickson Jere expressed hope that once the championship comes to a conclusion a national team will be formed and see athletes start competing with other countries. Six-year-old taekwondo player remains undisputed

Wanipa Mwanza, the youngest player in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge at OYDC has remained undisputed after winning three fights in her age category. Mwanza, from the time she started training and competing at OYDC she has proven and shown her taekwondo skills which have since left her coach and spectators amused.
