OYDC to host judokas for Southern African Judo Confederation Championship

OYDC Zambia will be playing host for the upcoming Southern African Judo Confederation Championship slated for 23 April 2022. The Championship will attract three countries Botswana, Malawi and the host Zambia. Team Botswana has since arrived in the Country ahead of camping and training in preparation for the Championship. ANOCA and Africa Zone Vi RADO sign MoU to promote clean sport

THE Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Zone 6 and the Africa Zone VI Regional Anti-Doping Organisation (RADO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in their efforts to promote Olympic values and clean sport amongst athletes and Athletes Personnel (ASP) in the member countries. Two beach volleyball players dominate OYDC/Teulings games

Bridget Muyambano and Prisca Phiri on Saturday 9th April 2022 dominated the OYDC/Teulings games by beating their rivals 3-0. Beauty Ngungu and Beatrice Mwape could not stand the chance to score against their competitors who reigned supreme at the end of the games. Zambia Swimming Union (ZASU) is set to host the CANA Zone IV Championship slated for 14 to 18 April 2022 to be staged at OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre . Young athletes screened

OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre on Saturday 2 April 2022 conducted health screening on athletes who came to participate in the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge. The athletes were being screened for nose, throat and ear with those with urgent medical attention being referred to nearby health facilities. OYDC Rugby coach Muwele boasts contributing players to national teams

OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre on Tuesday 29 March 2022 launched the Sport for Early Environment Education (Sport + Triple E) supported by WWF Zambia and aimed at raising awareness of environmental education using sport among adolescents.
