OYDC to host judokas for Southern African Judo Confederation Championship

OYDC Zambia will be playing host for the upcoming Southern African Judo Confederation Championship slated for 23 April 2022.

The Championship will attract three countries Botswana, Malawi and the host Zambia.

Team Botswana has since arrived in the Country ahead of camping and training in preparation for the Championship.

The team was welcomed at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport this evening by Zambia Judo Association members.

The Southern African Judo Confederation Championship is one of the many competitions OYDC is set to host this year.

OYDC management through its Chief Executive Officer Dr Fredrick Chitangala has on many occasions appealed to sports associations both local and international to take advantage of facilities to camp and prepare athletes for major competitions.

Meanwhile, NOCZ president Alfred Foloko who is also Zambia Judo Association president recently marketed OYDC to visiting CANA Zone IV executive members to consider bringing more events to the Centre.

OYDC hosted the CANA Zone IV Swimming Championship successfully organised by Zambia Swimming Union and attracted about 300 swimmers.
