OYDC Rugby coach Muwele boasts contributing players to national teams

OYDC Rugby coach Clement Muwele is pleased that several young athletes who started from the multisports facility are now playing for the national teams and different local clubs.

Muwele says about 20 young talented athletes were nurtured from OYDC since 2014 adding that he is proud to state that among those some are playing for the national teams and local clubs such as Leopards in Mufulira and Red Arrows in Lusaka.

He adds that it is through youthful leagues such as the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge that the nation keeps producing talented players in rugby getting selected to play for these clubs.

OYDC Rugby team has on many occasions won several awards for excellent performances during major youth competitions among them the 2016 Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show rugby, 2021 Teulings league, and many others.
