Tunisia Crowned Champions as Zambia Finishes 5th at the Baseball5 African Championship at OYDC Zambia

Tunisia emerged victorious in the grand finale of the Baseball5 African Championship, defeating South Africa 2–0 to claim the continental title.
Both Tunisia and South Africa qualified for the Baseball5 World Cup after a well-deserved final qualification.
Team Zambia finished in 5th place, narrowly missing out on qualification for the World Cup. Despite this, the nation takes pride in having successfully hosted such a prestigious event at OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre.
The National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Chief Executive Officer, Sombwa Musunsa, graced the event, commending the organisers and participants for their efforts.

NOCZ Secretary General, Boniface Kambikambi, also expressed gratitude to the Africa Baseball and Softball Confederation for choosing Zambia as the host nation, highlighting the country’s growing reputation as a hub for international sporting events.

Meanwhile, Zambia Baseball Federation President, Kenny Matish, extended heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders, including sponsors and volunteers, whose support made the tournament a success.
