OYDC ZAMBIA & SURGICORPS INTERNATIONAL CONCLUDE SUCCESSFUL BASKETBALL SKILLS TRAINING CAMP

The 2025 Basketball Skills Training Camp hosted by OYDC Zambia in partnership with Surgicorps International has been concluded after four days of intensive basketball training for young athletes. The event, which ran from April 7th to 10th, provided participants with a chance to hone their skills, build confidence, and foster a love for the sport, with the guidance of renowned coach Agnus Berenato and her team.

The closing ceremony saw heartfelt words of appreciation from OYDC Zambia’s Acting CEO Benjamin Tembo who thanked Surgicorps International for their unwavering support. He emphasized the importance of such programs in helping to identify and nurture talent from the grassroots level.
“This is exactly the kind of initiatives that OYDC Zambia is proud to be a part of. With partnerships like these, we can tap into the vast potential of young athletes and build a foundation for future excellence in basketball. Collaborations like this will help develop grassroot sports, which is at the core of the mission of the Sports Centre,” he said.

OYDC Zambia’s Programs Manager Mwange Kampamba also took a moment to express gratitude to Surgicorps for their continued commitment to promoting basketball in Zambia.
