Zambia beat Kenya 4-1 in a hockey semi-final match played on 25th July, 2018 at the Youth African Games in Algeria. U18 Zambia hockey team leaves for Algeria

The U18 Zambia male hockey team which was camped at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) through the support of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has left for Algiers, Algeria ahead of the African Youth Games slated for 18th to 28th July, 2018. OYDC donates “crutches”

The Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) donated crutches to Danny Simangolwa of Chililabombwe Municipal Council. The crutches were received by her worship the mayor of Chililabombwe Municipal Council Mrs. Christabel Mulala. The U18 male hockey team is camped at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in preparation for the qualifiers Youth Africa Games in Algeria. Team Coach Elvis Bwalya, says the camping at OYDC will make the boys prepare adequately for the games stating that he is hopeful that players will meet his expectations.

Olympic movement in Zambia commemorate “Olympic Day”

The Olympic movement in Zambia today joined the rest of the world in commemorating the 70th anniversary of “Olympic Day”. Hundreds of youths who thronged the OYDC today were jubilant as they commemorated the National Day of the African Child. Meet Queen Sakala tennis player

17 year old tennis player Queen Sakala, training at the OYDC on Saturday, 2 June, 2018. Queen, started playing tennis at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) and participated in the U15 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. Her passion and love for tennis is an inspirational to many athletes who access the #OYDC facilities. The centre has over 19 sports disciplines which include; Basketball, Taekwondo, Boxing, Judo, Swimming, Rugby, Handball, Hockey and Football.
