Masikana, the swimmer

His name is Tonderai Masikana, a swimmer for the Lusaka Sharks swimming club which trains from the Olympic Youth Development Centre.

The young swimmer has continued to live his dream through sport.

At the age of six, Masikana had started swimming and recording his personal best time during swimming competition.

He started swimming in 2013 after being oriented in the Zamtel “Learn to Swim” programme at the OYDC.

His love for swimming comes at a right time when Zambia wants to produce athletes to represent the country at the Olympic Games.

In 2015 Masikana, showcased his stunning performance during the Zambia Swimming Union (ZASU) National Age group’ championship.
