OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre is set to resume all sports activities which were suspended on 17th June 2021.

The suspension was necessitated by a surge in Covid-19 cases. OYDC Zambia CEO Dr. Fredrick Chitangala says the activities will resume with training on the 16th August 2021 while competitions such as the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge will commence on 21st August 2021.

“As OYDC it gives us pleasure to announce to the sports family that our activities which were suspended in June will resume next week. We want to assure everyone that all the health guidelines will be followed as athletes return for training on 16th August 2021 and get to the competitions on 21st August 2021. We want to urge our coaches and athletes to adhere to all the health guidelines as they return to our facilities.” – Dr. Chitangala said.

OYDC Zambia is best known for mass participation sporting activities and measures have been put in place to ensure that participating teams do not abrogate any Covid-19 health guidelines as they compete in the remaining league games which will culminate in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale supported by Coen Teulings, Chairman of the Merifin Capital in Belgium. No athlete or coach will be allowed in the premises without a mask.
