ATHLETES EXCHANGE FLYING KICKS

It was a sporting moment as taekwondo players Saturday 20 April 2024 exchanged sizzling flying kicks during the Teulings Youth Challenge.

The athletes representing Olympafrica, Zedlion, OYDC, and others were firm in showcasing their skills as the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge approaches the mid-year tournament.

Teulings Taekwondo coordinator Patson Ngoma discloses how the competition continues to make many of those who participate have discipline by avoiding bad vices in communities.

He notes that the turnout of athletes for the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge organised by the OYDC Zambia is motivating adding that some athletes who had utilised the competition past few years were among those who represented Zambia at the 2023 African Games in Accra, Ghana recently.

Ngoma added that Zambia has the potential to produce more taekwondo players if many competitions such as the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge can continue to be conducted across the country.

Meanwhile, other athletes turned up at the OYDC Zambia to compete in netball and teqball.The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge is sponsored by Coen Teulings Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium and continues to benefit more athletes below the age of 20 years.
