The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge continued to inspire young athletes during an action-packed Week 5, with participants competing across football, netball, Baseball5, and boxing. The weekend once again highlighted the project’s commitment to youth development through sport, providing a platform for talent to grow, compete, and excel.

The football fixtures produced exciting encounters in both the girls’ and boys’ categories, with several teams delivering impressive performances.

Zanimuone Girls defeated Ubuntu Girls 2-0, securing an important victory through disciplined defending and clinical finishing with Olympic Flying Queens produced the biggest result of the weekend with a commanding 7-0 victory over Olympafrica Queens, showcasing their attacking strength and teamwork.

Boys’ Category saw OYDC Boys and Olympafrica Boys sharing the spoils in a closely contested 1-1 draw, with both teams displaying determination and resilience. Telos Academy edged Beacon of Hope 2-1 in an entertaining contest that remained competitive until the final whistle. Mighty Rangers earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ubuntu Boys, continuing their impressive run in the competition.

Beyond football, the weekend programme also featured netball, Baseball5, and boxing, giving hundreds of young athletes the opportunity to develop their skills, compete in a positive environment, and strengthen values such as discipline, teamwork, respect, and resilience.
