OYDC Zambia welcomes Hans Bertels, Coen Teulings representative
OYDC Zambia, Tuesday morning welcomed Hans Bertels the representative of Coen Teulings, Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium who is on a tour of duty.
Coen Teulings is a sponsor of the youth league games dubbed Teulings Youth Sports Challenge which OYDC Zambia has been conducting since 2011.
Bertels was welcomed at the Centre by OYDC Zambia Chief Executive Officer Dr Fredrick Chitangala.
During his tour of duty, Bertels will meet with National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) president Alfred Foloko, OYDC Board of Trustees members and is also expected to pay a courtesy call on Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Permanent Secretary Pastor Kangwa Chileshe.
He will wind up his visit to Zambia on Saturday 30th April 2022 by touring the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge Games in football, handball, netball and judo before meeting some of its past and current beneficiaries.
About the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge:
The Teulings Youth Sports Challenge sponsored by Coen Teulings, Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium was launched in 2011 with basketball, hockey, tennis, volleyball and football being the first sports disciplines to be part of the youthful games engaging young talented players below the age of 17 years. The league games saw some players being selected to play for the national teams and local clubs. The support was further extended to more sports codes among them netball, boxing, taekwondo, beach volleyball, rugby, teqball, handball, and judo. Since its launch, some deserving top deserving teams, athletes, coaches and umpires have been rewarded with trophies and medals during the grand finale at the end of the year which marks the sporting season.
