Teulings netball gains momentum

Teulings Netball Coordinator Felistus Chilinda has disclosed that the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge has continued to attract a number of athletes from communities surrounding the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre.

Chilinda says games hosted on Saturday 11 June saw teams like Olympafrica, Matero, OYDC, Chazanga, Zanimoune and Kabanana coming to compete as the league enters week five.

Chilinda, added that athletes keep improving the skill of netball in that they stand a good chance of being selected to play for the national team.

And, Olympafrica netball team remains on top of the log standings. The team has in the past games continued to record wins and during the 2020 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale it was crowned champions.

Team coach Bwalya Mwandwe attributes the team’s good performance to massive training and dedication by his players.

Meanwhile, during Saturday’s Teulings Youth Sports Challenge the OYDC also hosted beach volleyball, handball and taekwondo.

The sports disciplines has athletes from different towns who came to compete.
