German Ambassador Anne Wagner-Mitchell Graces Floorball Launch at OYDC Zambia with Official Equipment Handover

The OYDC Zambia Sports Development Center yesterday hosted the official Floorball Equipment Handover Ceremony, marking a significant milestone in introducing the sport of Floorball to Zambia. The event was graced by Her Excellency Ambassador Anne Wagner-Mitchell, the German Ambassador to Zambia.

The equipment was generously donated by Jakob Bleek, with support from partners in Germany, as part of efforts to develop and promote Floorball in Zambia. The donation aims to support the launch of public training sessions and the long-term growth of the sport within the country.

Mwange Kampamba, OYDC Zambia’s Programs Manager, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organization. She added that Floorball offers exciting opportunities for youth engagement, fitness, and international connection.

The event also featured a live Floorball demonstration match, giving attendees a firsthand experience of the sport’s speed, strategy, and inclusivity. OYDC Zambia will now serve as a training hub for Floorball, with open sessions to begin soon.
