Olympafrica netball coach Bwalya is optimistic that his girls’ team will this year maintain the winning performance in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge.

Bwalya, says following the commencement of the 2020 Teulings Netball league games at the OYDC Zambia, the girls have continued to showcase their good performance which made them last year emerge overall winners during the 2019 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge Grand Finale.

In today’s league games Olympafrica beat OYDC Zambia team 21-4 while in another game Olympafrica defeated Chazanga in a 19-16 win.

About 6 teams took part in the league games which include North Park, Matero Girls, Mambilima, and Chipata Sport in Action.

Meanwhile, OYDC Zambia, hosted Teulings Taekwondo league which saw four teams Lusaka Leopards, Zed Lion, Olympafrica and OYDC competing. Teulings Taekwondo coordinator Patson Ngoma, has named Olympafrica as the team that is doing fine with athletes who are wining fights in the U17 category.

And OYDC Zambia, Sports programmes officer, Mellisa Majonga, has disclosed that the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge last year produced athletes who participated at international tournaments and Olympic qualifiers games. She adds that the Centre through the Teulings league games supported by Coen Teulings, Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium will continue to produce and identify athletes who can represent the nation at both local and international games.
