Springfield Hockey Player Cynthia Jere, is happy that her team today won two games during the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge held at OYDC.

She says the OYDC remains a good facility for talent identification and youth development adding that those who live near the facility should consider visiting OYDC to enroll for different academies.

20 hockey teams today turned up to participate in the Teulings Hockey League and the team include; DE Stars, Zambezi, Hotspurs, Lusaka Sharks, and Springfield’s.

Meanwhile, OYDC CEO Dr. Fredrick Chitangala, says the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge continues to engage young talented athletes who come to the OYDC to compete in Hockey, Swimming, Netball, Taekwondo and Beach Volleyball.

He discloses that the centre decided to add netball in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge so that more young girls can enjoy and be part of the programme.
