YOUNG ATHLETES HAPPY WITH THE RESUMPTION OF TEULINGS GAMES

Several athletes are excited to be back on different sports fields at the OYDC Zambia following the resumption of the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge which commenced on 1 April.

One of the athletes happy with the resumption of the games for 2023 is 13-year-old taekwondo player Matilda Njobvu who in 2022 disclosed that she hopes to play at the youth Olympic Games in future.

Njobvu is optimistic that she will continue winning her fights this year whenever she faces her opponents on the mat.
Another athlete Liya Matongo who plays rugby at the OYDC Zambia says from the time she started playing the sport in 2021 it has helped her refrain from bad vices in her community. She implores her fellow young persons to consider joining sports at the facility and aspire to be top athletes in future.
The two young players disclosed separately that once done with school they would want to become soldiers and serve the nation at large as they are all inspired by men in uniform.

OYDC Zambia on Saturday 15 April hosted the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge sponsored by Coen Teulings Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium.

Athletes from different communities surrounding OYDC Zambia took part in handball, teqball, taekwondo and rugby.
