MORE MEDALS FOR TEAM ZAMBIA AT AUSC REGION 5 GAMES

Zambian athletes Kennedy Luchembe (athletics), Daniel Mbewe (athletics), and Niddy Minglishi (athletics) have minted medals in the 400m final men and women race respectively at the ongoing Africa Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 taking place in Gaborone, Botswana.

In the men’s race Luchembe, minted Gold after clocking 45.76 while Mbewe, clocked 46.09 to mint Silver.

And in the women’s race Minglishi, clocked 55.07 to win Gold as she was the only female Zambian in the final race.

Meanwhile, Zambian supporters were in a state of jubilation as they witnessed the triumph of the trio in the stadium.

Zambia is being represented by 74 athletes at the AUSC Region 5 8th edition Games.
