OYDC hosts Defence force day celebrations

The Ministry of Defence is celebrating the 42nd “Defence Force Day” being conducted at the Olympic Youth Development Centre.

The theme for this year’s sports celebrations is “Promoting National Peace and Unity through Friendship in Sports”.

The celebrations have seen Defence officers from Zambia Army, Zambia Air force and Zambia National Service compete in football, netball, tug of war, basketball and volleyball.

Ministry of Defence permanent secretary Steady Mwale, was at the OYDC to grace the occasion and urged all the officers to take part in all the sports activities.
