Teulings boxers set to exchange ‘fists’

OYDC Zambia will on Saturday 2 October 2021 be a hive of activities as pugilists prepare to battle it out.

The Centre has invited ten boxing teams for the young ones to take part in the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge.

OYDC programmes officer Likemore Mahunje says the Centre has not hosted boxing for some time stating that all lined bouts will be conducted in a safe environment for the youth.

The Centre is expected to not only host boxing but also TeQball, Hockey, Basketball, Football and Judo.

Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge is a youthful competition that engages young talented athletes from different communities and teams and is below the age of 17 years.

Many of the athletes who have undergone this competition have gone as far as being selected to play for national teams and clubs.

Meanwhile Midlands Boxing Association (MABA) Chairman Christiann Kalima has named Exodus, Evergreen, Green Buffaloes, Youth Empowerment and Petku as some of the many teams which will be competing this weekend.
