Zambia Hockey Association to host “ZHA Club International” at OYDC Zambia

Zambia Hockey Association (ZHA) will from 24 to 27 October, 2019 host “ZHA Club International” hockey tournament which will be held at OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre.

ZHA Vice President Thomas Mumba, says the tournament is an annual event and will see teams from Malawi and Zimbabwe coming to compete with Zambia.

He has named Lusaka Sharks, Zambezi, Hotspurs, Braves, GX, Hippo and Nyala as some of the teams that have confirmed their participation in the tournament.

Mumba, has also appealed to the corporate world to come on board and sponsor the tournament. He has also thanked the OYDC Zambia, through the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge for having continued to produce athletes who are now playing in the hockey national teams.

“As ZHA, we are happy that we will be hosting this tournament which will see teams from Zimbabwe and Malawi coming. We appeal to the corporate world to make use of the tournament and support us in any means. The tournament will be held at the OYDC Zambia, and we thank management for continuing to produce some athletes of which some are now playing in our national teams” he said.
