ZJA/IJF set to launch Judo for All

Zambia Judo Association through the International Judo Federation will be launching the “Judo for All” this Saturday, 30 November, 2019 at the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre. The launch of the “Judo for All” will actively engage athletes who have different body abilities.

IJF Media and Judo for Peace Head Director, Nicolas Messner, is in the country and has been accompanied by another judo expert Birgit Ryningen, from the Norwegian Judo Federation.

The duo on Wednesday, 27 November, 2019 were found training over 30 judokas at the Dojo Hall stationed at OYDC Zambia.

Zambia Judo Association (ZJA) president Alfred Foloko, who is also National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) welcomed Messner and Ryningen to the Dojo Hall. Foloko, disclosed that the two experts will be in Zambia for a week stating that judokas are also being prepared for the Lesotho games in December and other upcoming competitions such as the Olympic Games.

Meanwhile, Messner and Ryningen, expressed happiness to note that Zambian judokas have the passion for the sport and put in their level best to find time for training sessions.
